How to connect encoder to servo drives?！

What paraeters need to be set when servo motor encoder connected to the servo drive? then the servo drive to set what parameters? If the encoder's connected to plc, then it will be more complicated?

1. Servo motor itself comes with encoder; general servo motor is two lines: encoder line and power line; are directly connected to the drive, will not be connected to the PLC;

2. If you are buying a separate encoder to do full-closed, the encoder is divided into many kinds of connection orders is open collector;

3. Do full closed loop PLC program is not complicated; just read the data returned to do the corresponding treatment only;
